On the 31st death anniversary of Justice Alvin Robert Cornelius (1903 – 1991), a former Chief Justice of Pakistan and our former Senior Partner, Cornelius, Lane & Mufti (CLM) celebrated his life and legacy through holding the 5th Cornelius Memorial Lecture on December 21, 2022 at the Faletti’s Hotel, Lahore (which had remained Cornelius’ home till his death).

The Lecture titled “عدلیہ، نظام انصاف اور آئینی تقاضے (Judiciary, System of Justice and Constitutional Requirements” was delivered by Justice (Retd.) Jawwad S. Khawaja, a former Chief Justice of Pakistan. Prior to his appointment as a Judge, Justice Khawaja had worked with Cornelius as a Partner at CLM; and had also been appointed by Cornelius as the executor of his will.

The Lecture was attended by a diverse audience including legal practitioners, academics, law students and members of the civil society.
